Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which casino wagering is not permitted. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively tiny area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect spot, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital acquired from the gambling halls ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; although, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently needed to pass, there are ways around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.
The initial Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling den, highlights 150 one armed bandits and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open all hours with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are 150 slot machine games and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slot machine games and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the normal table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel complex that contains many comforts in addition to the gambling hall, which houses 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and eighty eight gaming tables.
